"Queiroz comes endorsed by the extraordinary work he did in the Portuguese federation, achieving with the Under-20 team the championship of the 1989 World Cup and the European championship with the Under-16 team. He later managed the senior Portugal national team, as well as those of the United Arab Emirates and South Africa. Among various clubs, he managed Estoril, Sporting Lisbon, New York MetroStars, Nagoya, and served as the assistant coach of Manchester United until last season."
